I notice that video clips made in 16:9 are cropped into 4:3 ratio, while photographs taken in 16:9 are respected and left in the original aspect ratio. It would be good for the user to be able to choose to keep the original 16:9 aspect ratio.

Hi,
Is this problem still there if I upgrade to pro? I´m looking for a good solution to quickly upload a video gallery to show to clients, and Slideroll seems perfect, but I would have to show the videos in 16:9.

I've made a slideroll that is about 7:30 minutes long and I'm trying convert it to a video. When I get to about 5:30 minutes mark it really slows down and then stops copying. Is there a limit to the length of slideshow we can convert to video? Or is there something I need to do to make it work better.
Thanks

Is this a large slideshow or normal size? Are you on a Mac or PC?
I recently launched a new version of the Video Creator (about a week ago) - make sure you have at least version 0.85. The latest version addresses the problem with freezing. Let me know if you have that version - you can see the version number on the top right of the screen.
I hope it's still not doing this with the latest version as I made a lot of optimizations. If it is, you'll need to shorten your slideshow to less than 5:30 I guess.
Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm as frustrated as you are!

I just tried it agin with 0.85 version and at about 70% matk of the video it slowed right down. I waitied it out but in the end I got a message that a script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash to run slowley. If it continues to run you computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script.
Yesterday I chose no and all I got was 70% of the movie today it actuall got up 97% and it said my video had been downloaded but I can't find it in documents. I checked the videos that I had converted with the other version and many of the pictures are only partially viewable.
I will try again tomorrow with shorter video.

By the way I did manage to complete a conversion last Friday with the 0.84 version but it was slow and I had to answer no to abort question. I did that because I thought I might have to start all over again. The longer video cause more problems.

Hi geoff, I just subscribed as a Pro member, and I dragged a 9MB MP4 video into the Slideshow Gallery AV, and I see the video being played in the Create staged, all converted too, but when it exports and uploads... all I see is 1 image and sound.
http://www.bakades.com/slide/tree.html is my example.
Thanks!
